Elizabeth Dobbs
Waitekus
Elizabeth taught art
at Friends School in Virginia Beach for 12 years. She returned to
her own creative expression and received her B.A. in Fine Arts in
1994. She is now a full time artist and has won a number of awards
in miniature art exhibitions. She founded the Sacred Art Circle,
a local artist support group. Elizabeth works in watercolor, acrylics,
and oils. She is most noted for her works of Angels and Symbolic
Realms of the Spirit.
Elizabeth feels that
there is nothing this world that is mundane or unholy if seen with
the “inner eye.” She hopes that the viewer will appreciate the Inspiration,
Beauty, and Reverence she feels through nature’s majesty as expressed
within her works.
