As an artist, I have
always been stirred by “Religious Art” and the multi-layered truth
and symbolism found there. I have often wondered why contemporary
artist don’t draw their ideas and inspiration from a place of personal
“Revelations and Answers” rather than portraying so much angst and
confusion.
In portraying the Holy
Mother, Angels, Goddesses, and Nature I am affirming the unseen
beings and energies of hope, faith, guidance, and protection. They
are encompassed in the “Divine Feminine” or the “Feminine face of
God.” I believe the divine feminine represents what is needed in
these turbulent times; the influence of more nurturance, mercy and
compassion. We are our brother’s keeper, and the only way to know
each other better is through compassionate thoughts and merciful
actions. My hope is for all humanity to acknowledge that we are
one family.
I am inspired by the
beauty and mystery of the spiritual realms as well as nature, and
committed to the expression of beauty through my art works. Because
my art brings me so much pleasure, passion and joy while creating,
I hope this will be invoked in the viewer.
